Welcome back to my playthrough of Koriko: A Magical Year. In this entry Giselle pays another visit her artist friend in the woods.

Dear Wanderer,
I saw Jaden again today. A storm had occurred recently, and she was showing me a painting of the captured moment. Apparently she had gone out in the middle of the storm to witness it firsthand! She was fine obviously but it was still concerning to hear. She at least thought the risk was worth it, and I’m almost inclined to agree. Her painting was beautiful, and you could imagine yourself caught in the storm’s center. Beholden to it’s terrifying strength, but also the strange majesty of it all.
I told Jaden her painting reminded me of a certain type of magic. An illusion spell where you could witness events around you as if they were real. This excited her and she asked me show her. I had to be careful not to summon an actual storm in the middle of her house, but I managed to conjure up a perfect illusion of a thunder storm, rain and all. It looked and felt real, but nothing actually got wet or ruined. The scene completely captured Jaden’s attention. I’ll admit, it felt nice to see someone so excited by my magic.
I spend the rest of the day showing Jaden much simpler illusions and she showed me more of her recent artwork. A good day overall.
I’m actually pretty scared of thunderstorms but there’s something hauntingly beautiful about them well. I suppose it’s a good reminder of the power nature holds.
Thank you again to everyone who has read this far and I hope you all are having not stormy day.
I love thunderstorms when they are far away and you can just hear a rumble from miles away. Less so when the lightning is right above you. Another neat entry, Giselle seems to have really settled in!
