Koriko - Giselle's Year (Spring: Entry Seven - The World I)
Everything that is, and everything that has yet to be
Welcome back to my playthrough of Koriko: A Magical Year. In this entry we meet the Wanderer.

Previous Entry: Entry Six - The Hermit
Dear Wanderer,
Well, I suppose it was you I met today. I was walking through the city when it started pouring rain. I was in a park and hid under a tree for safety when I saw a bird’s nest full of bright blue eggs being swept away in a small stream made by the sudden downpour. It was probably reckless of me, but I dove after the nest and managed to grab it before it was swept down into a sewer. Despite my victory, I was unsure of where to return the nest to since I didn’t see it fall. My thoughts were short lived however as I felt a powerful presence. One that felt like it encompassed the whole city within it.
Time seemed to slow around me, and I turned to see what looked to be an ordinary pigeon. However, the way you spoke threw away any notions of you being a normal bird. You called yourself Wanderer. Your voice spoke like everyone I had met in Koriko and everyone I’m sure I had yet to meet. Instead of a haunting sound like one would expect, your voice was more like a chorus. Every voice united and speaking at once. You said you were the spirit of the city and watched over all of Koriko. You said you have seen all that I’ve done, and that you will continue to watch what I’ll do.
You showed me the tree the bird nest fell out of, and it was a bit of a climb, but I managed to secure it back on a branch. You said you’d watch over the nest and the city as you have always done and will continue to do before you left. Your absence made time flow back to normal again, as if nothing had happened here. I wonder when they next time I see you will be.
Wanted to do a bit something different for the world arcana since it’s supposed to represent the end of the journey. In a way, I guess that kind of makes Giselle the fool arcana in this story. Filled with infinite possibilities.
Anyway, thank you for reading thus and hope you all are having a cooler day than I am! It is hot…
I like this one, in any other setting it would be a bit foreboding and ominous, but it felt nice, like the spirit of the city was getting a feel for Giselle and like what it had seen.
