Koriko - Giselle's Year (Entry Seven - The Lovers I)
A pair ready to face a new challenge in life
Welcome back to my playthrough of Koriko: A Magical Year. In this entry, Giselle meets a helpful couple on the beach.

Dear Wanderer,
Brie and her team decided to stay at the beach a few more days so I stayed as well. I had never been in the ocean and decided to brave it’s depths with Marble in tow. We almost got swept away a few times, but we managed to hold our ground against the unrelenting waves.
However, when I came out of the water I saw that the good luck charm Aunt Melody gave me was no longer hanging around my neck. I frantically looked around for it, and even Marble started digging in the sand. I must’ve been more vocal in my panic than I thought as I got approached by a couple. They were a man and woman named Rudo and Carmen respectively. Carmen had a soft smile and was wearing a large brim hat with a ribbon that matched her swim suit. Rudo had bright blue eyes and a shirt covered in multicolored palm trees. I explained the situation and they both helped me search for my missing charm.
While we searched, Carmen spoke with me. Her and Rudo had been married for a few years now and were expecting a baby. She was nervous but excited at the prospect of being a parent. Plus, she knew she could rely on Rudo to be there for her and their child.
Eventually Rudo found my charm. It was caught in the claw of a helpful crab determined to not let it get swept away by the ocean. I thanked Rudo and Carmen profusely (and the little crab of course). I didn’t have much to repay them with, so I gave them a conch shell Marble had dug up. A small gift for the new life that would soon be brought into the world. Meeting this couple reminded me a bit of my own parents. I miss them, but I’m thankful for them supporting me in my decision to leave home. If Rudo and Carmen are even a little like my own parents, than I know their child will be well loved and cared for.
It’s been so long since I’ve been to a beach I should really go again.
Anyway, thanks as always for reading and I hope you have a charming day.
