Dear Wanderer,
I ran into Orla again today. We’ve seen each other a few times since we first met, but they wanted to show me something new today.
Orla took me to a long abandoned manor on the edge of town. They said they first found it after they had a particularly bad fight with their dad. The two don’t always see eye to eye and fight often. That made me sad to hear. I hope I was able to provide Orla comfort by spending some days with them.
The manor Orla brought me to was falling apart. Worn brick and vines showed its age. Inside, Orla revealed to me their stash of instruments they kept hidden away. They had several guitars, drums, harmonicas, and even a banjo. They grabbed one of the guitars and asked if I wanted to hear a song. It was the first time I had ever seen them embarrassed. It was kind of endearing really. I of course accepted their request.
Orla’s music was something I can’t put to words. I had never heard the song before (as it was probably one of their own creation), but it made me feel like I was remembering a long forgotten dream. The hope I had lost renewing itself within me once again. I told Orla their music was beautiful, even Marble seemed impressed. Orla said their dream was to tour the world and play their music for all to hear along the way. I thought that sounded like a lovely dream. I hope it comes true one day. Thank you for sharing your dream with me Orla, and I’ll work hard to make my own come true too.
Sometimes you just got to sit back and think about your dreams. No matter how far away them seem.
Thank you to all who have read this far and kept my dream of writing going. Hope you all have a lovely day.
This entry was very beautiful, I can tell the prompt resonated with you!
